Registered Clinical Counsellor #22422

About
Welcome, I'm Liz. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#22422) and an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist in Whistler.
I work with children and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic distress. I also provide culturally attuned therapy for communities of colour and immigrant populations.
If you are interested in therapy, I look forward to working with you.
More about me
I am also a professional geographer by trade. I spent years mapping countries and neighbourhoods and the movement of different populations. As a clinical counsellor, I have become interested in mapping the emotions and feelings in our bodies.
When we feel anxious, for instance, where in our bodies do we feel that anxiety? What if we could locate it, address it, and work together to find ways to calm it? The mental and emotional maps of our bodies matter. They are our geography closest in.
We each arrive at therapy with a unique set of questions, and I look forward to exploring the forms of treatment that best suit your needs. If you’re here, you’ve taken the hardest step … let’s walk a bit further together to see how I can help.

Please inquire for further details.
